labour day is upon us and the myth is that you can't wear white after this holiday but really when it comes to white lace you can wear it on its own like above in warmer weathers and throw a dark blazer and some cognac boots for a great winter look. your summer dresses don't have to be for the season it was supposedly meant for - when you live in a city where it rains oh about 80% of the time you have to make use with all your pieces and get creative. plus, white lace is a trend that is not only been a signature item this year in hollywood but is a trend that just keeps coming back decade after decade.

when i first read this gq article i thought waaat? but then i kept reading and i have to admit a couple of things: 1. these men are attractive models. 2. the third model looks kind of like justin timberlake and if he wore this green ensemble, there would definitely be a few mini-me's popping up on tmz and e-news. 3. i don't know one male that would take on this trend...yet!

ok so i was trying to be kinda funny with this post but look what i found on one of my favorite blogs refinery 29 and i just had to share!  when i was younger my cousin f (who had the beautiful baby a few months ago and had the baby shower...etc, etc..) taught me how to do what we called a 'fish braid' aka 'fish tail braid'. similar name, same look. love love love it!

nail love

i'm a big fan of nail polish but not a fan of chipped nails. i'm also not a big fan of acrylic or gel or solar nails also known as fake nails so when i heard opi came out with axxium nails i was beyond ecstatic! so the deets on this great find are as follows: the nail polish is actually a nail gel that is over layed on your natural nail and it lasts for 2 weeks! mine lasted for about 2.5 weeks before i saw a few chips. the best part of it all is it doesn't ruin your natural nail like fake nails. you soak them in acetone and the gel peels right off.

however, when i got my axxium nails taken off the lady was clearly new at using axxium nails and she didn't soak my nails long enough and chipped off the leftover pieces. i was also naive and didn't know that if you soak your nails in acetone long enough they'll peel right off!

a & i out on the town in c-town with our o-so-summer face looks! we are both rockin summer glam fab looks, as i like to call it.

ok, so it's obvious a's lashes aren't real but that's what she was going for! nude lip with stunner eyes - come on for a night out in montreal her eyes definitely turned some looks. but keep it simple, if you go big on the eyes with the long and dark lashes, stay nude every where else. this makes your eyes pop without looking overdone and if i say so myself a pulls it off deliciously!

my turn. the dark liner and bold solid summer lip went perfect with my jenny han dress. many state they can't pull off a solid matte look but the great thing about this lip-love is that it's semi-matte. no cakey leftover misery with this stick, apply and go! no need to re-apply it's a long laster... unless it's a late night then keep it tucked in the clutch just in case.
